The BaoBaB Project is an epic tale of life and death, love and nothingness, good and evil, humans and gods. The story spins around a man and a woman, a prophecy, an evil god, and the timeless quest for eternal love: we all know it's there somewhere, we can feel it, its energy surrounds us. But are we ready to pay the price to reach it?

While renewing a musical style like the rock opera (“The Wall”, “Tommy”, “The Phantom of the Paradise”), the BaoBaB Project is resurrecting the myth of Faust but this time the hero makes a deal with love (which symbolizes the energy of life) in order to save the one he loves from the abysses of Hell. After having offended the gods by his blasphemes, the hero becomes the prophet of love in Hell and hopes to repeal the curse hitting his beloved. But the guardian of the abysses is watching and the curse is powerful ...

Now you may ask: "but what is a rock opera ?" Well in our case, this means that all our songs form a coherent story, in multiple acts like in theatre. We plan to have some visual effects (videos, cartoons, pictures) during live concerts in order to support the story and have a musical and visual experience. But don't expect any kind of acting in the theatrical sense of it ... the music makes it all!
